Upcoming Litters!
NOTE: All of the pups from the following litters will be required to complete our health testing (24 hour holter, OFA or PennHip hip/elbow x-rays). Since I generally request that pets not be altered (neutered or spayed) prior to 18-24 months for the health of the dog, I may opt to collect semen for shipping or Cryogenic freezing on some of the males in order to further preserve these lines. Preference to breeding homes (or homes that are willing to leave a dog intact or whelp a co-owned litter) in order to move these genetics forward will be given priority.
If you are interested in applying for any future litters please fill out this application and email it to wildernesskennels@outlook.com.
Apologies for the old-school methods. Wilderness kennels is working diligently to bring the application process into the 21st century, but aren't ready to launch yet. So thank you in advance for taking the time to fill this one out.

Roka is my heart dog. She tests me, regularly pushing me outside my comfort zone, while constantly inspiring me to try new things, or learn skills I hadn’t realized I needed. She has been a catalyst of self discovery since the day she decided she was staying. She has an inspiring zest for life, and is always up for an adventure. With incredible biddability, a wicked sharp mind, and maybe a little more working drive than I bargained for - thanks to Fortune, her jaw droopingly handsome Belgian Tervuren father. I honestly wouldn’t trade this incredible girl for anything!
Another huge advantage of Roka having recent outcross blood, is that it enables me increased compatibility to some of the best studs in the breed!
And Cato here is just that. With his impressive presence, steady nature, and captivating intelligent eyes it makes him stands out anywhere he goes—he truly turns heads. This solid, bomb-proof boy reflects so many of the incredible qualities I cherish in the Shiloh breed, and I can not wait to see what he brings into my Wilderness program. Cato having been sired from cryogenically semen that had been stored for nearly a decade prior to his conception, means that he carries some of the older foundation lines which helped shape the breed we adore today. Cato offers remarkable confidence, OFA Good hips, substantial bone, and a deep irreplaceable bond with his family. All of which make him a valuable addition to not only my program, but the breed itself.
And it is this incredible combination of traits that make me confident he and Róka will produce some truly one of a kind puppies! (Who won’t disappoint if they are anything like their STUNNING half siblings from Roka’s 2024 litter with Riggs.)
I am incredibly excited to see what these two special dogs produced. We are expecting all plush coats with a wide range of Sables possible. With the sables having the incredible potential to range from Róka’s bright fiery red coat, all the way to deep black sables, and anything in between!
Roka is due to come into heat within the next month or so. And I am just starting to accept applications for this incredible pairing. But please note that these 2nd generation Foundation line (F2) pups will be a registered part of the ISSA’s Biodiversity project and a strong preference will be given to families who are willing to keep them intact. As they are playing an incredible part in bettering the breed by lowering genetic COIs, decreasing breed specific health risks, and refining/improving various conformation traits.

Now this is a interesting match! Barry's father Conley carried a very diverse pedigree from the Jes/Killian breeding that we came far too close to losing all together a few years back! So I am excited to help carry forward this rare ancestry for another generation. Barry also is one of the best looking smoothies I have seen in recent years, having great size and beautiful movement, while also sporting some eye catching facial markings to boot. Tundra is the newest addition to my program, and I could not be more excited about it. She is independent, intelligent, self confident, and very social with both humans and other dogs. She is a bit of a home body preferring not to travel by vehicle. Additionally, not only does she happen to be the beautiful elusive silvery-gray that folks love to share stories about, but she also has a few other colourful surprises buried in her genetics as well! It's taken me many years of searching before I finally found a girl with the right combination of traits to complement Mixal, as the 2nd foundation girl for my program. I look forward to meeting Tundra's future pups and grandpups. And I can't wait to see how her linage combines with Mixal's progeny one day in the distant future!
Pup's are expected to be predominantly grey or silver bi-colours, in both plush and smooth coat lengths. Barry also has a 66% chance of being a recessive white carrier, but has not yet been tested for the gene. If he did inherit the recessive white gene from either of his parents, puppies will have a be a 25% chance of being born white.

Do you enjoy canine sports like scent work, herding, or agility? Or being part of the breed's history? If you do, this might be the perfect litter for you! Wilderness Kennels is excited to announce the one-time pairing of Róka & Bapu! These pups will be F2 outcrosses meaning that these pups will be approximately 75% Shiloh Shepherd and 25% Belgian Shepherd.
Róka is affectionately referred to as the "Duchess of Chaos" at home. She enters the room with a clear royal vibrance about her, radiating grace in every movement. And man does this girl love to move! In traditional Tervuren fashion, she is perpetually in motion. She adores her agility classes and long walks in the back 40. At home, her favourite past times include keeping the Canadian geese off of the grass, beach walks, and playing with her pack mates.
This past spring when raising the Mixal/Darko litter, I also got an opportunity to see an incredible window into Róka's parenting skills. She was so gentile and careful with her growing half-siblings and genuinely enjoyed having them around. This girl truly loves being in the presence of puppies.
Bapu resides in the Netherlands, bringing to the table a very traditional Shiloh look to this pairing with a wonderful stable temperament and a diverse mostly European Pedigree. He enjoys trotting off-leash alongside his owner's bike. He is fantastic at ignoring environmental distractions. He has a low-maintenance smooth coat, and lovely heavy bone structure, matched with effortless movement. He displays a lovely, friendly disposition.
Bapu's mother Noa was also born in Ontario at Victory Shilohs some years ago, so it’s nice to have an opportunity to bring the line full circle since this Róka/Bapu litter will most likely be whelped and raised in British Columbia, Canada.
Pups are expected to arrive in both smooth and plush coats, with either Wolf Sable (Aw) like their father, or the eye-catching (Ay) Clear Sable of their mother. With a good possibility of beautiful light golden coats, with a small chance of Silvery greys like their father. Whites are not expected. But Bapu has not been DNA tested for coat colour genes, so one never really knows for sure.
