Pet Quality
These are the unique puppies that can't be part of the breeding program for one reason or another. Be it that they have a miss mark, line-specific breeding restriction, or a disqualifying fault via the breed standard (Kinked tail, Missing tooth, etc)
Pet upgradable
These are the Wonderfull pup's that meet the requirment's to be breakable, but might have one or two minor fault's via the breed standard, that they may - or may not, grow out of.
BReed Quality
These pup's are the future of the breed. They are the puppies that best embody the breed standard in conformation/structure, gait, and Temperment. These puppies will go out on generder specific co-ownership contracts.
Special Circumstances
Occasionally puppies with specific need's, may be placed in approved "Foster homes" at no charge to their adoptive families - very specific requirments and contract's go with these puppies.
Pricing
Despite being located just a bit north of the southern Canadian border, all prices at Wilderness Kennels are listed in American dollars. This has been decided by two separate factors. The first is that the majority of my buyers, historically have been from the united states. The second is that the breed club itself is an American-based organization at this time. So all fees/dues that I owe to the registry for litter/puppy registration, memberships fees, or club events costs are charged in American. So to keep financing simple on my end, I have chosen to do all my kennel budgeting in US dollars. But I do accept both Canadian, and American currencies as payment types.
Shiloh Shepherd pups are $3000-3500 US each depending on the specific litter. (Please inquire directly for Canadian pricing, as some processing fees which are incorporated into the US prices are not applicable for pups staying domestically.)
Wilderness Kennels also does not believe in pricing puppies based on size, gender, or coat colour. As a result, there will be no differences in price between littermates. The time and resources I invested into each individual puppy is identical no matter how the puppies end up scoring at their litter evaluation. Instead, I focus on matching the right puppy to the right owners. I want to see each one of these pups thrive, growing up to be their very best selves. Each puppy, depending on how they are scored by the certified litter evaluators, will come with specific contracts and responsibilities for the new owners. (Any puppy discovered to have inherited a life-altering health condition prior to 8 weeks will be placed in a responsible "foster home" at no charge to the adopter. (Foster homes are extensively vetted, and specific experience might be required in some situations.) If you are interested in possibly being a foster home to a special needs puppy in the rare event one comes available, please specify on your "General Puppy Application".
